The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed into law on 2/17/09, is a stimulus bill that provides relief to millions, including your office employees who already have COBRA or will need it in the future. MSMS Physicians Insurance Agency (PIA) is here to help with the administration of these new provisions.

The MSMS Physicians Insurance Agency (PIA) has become a licensed Third Party Administrator. The Agency can assist its member groups in lowering their overall employee benefit costs by taking advantage of strategies that preserve quality employee benefits and reduce overall costs.

The state’s largest physician medical malpractice company and MSMS’s endorsed liability company, American Physicians, has announced rates will be reduced effective 7/1/09 for certain counties and specialties. Rates were also reduced in 2008 and have lowered or remained steady since 2005!
